These DEF League 2023 Official Terms and Conditions govern all stages of the DEF League 2023 Event.
These Terms have been designed and written to ensure the integrity of competitive play of Cricket Gangsta (the “Game”) in connection with the Event, and are intended to help ensure that all competitive play of the Game is enjoyable, fair, and free from Toxic Behaviour (as defined below).
To participate in the Event, all the players must agree to follow these Terms at all times. If the player is under 18 years of age or the age of majority as defined in such a player's country of residence (a “Minor”), such player’s parent or legal guardian must agree on such player’s behalf to follow these Terms at all times including the Code of Conduct in Section 4.
A player (or, if a Minor, such player’s parent or legal guardian) accepts these Terms by entering and participating in DEF League 2023 Event in the Game. By participating in any match in the Game that is part of the Event, a player confirms that they (or, if a Minor, their parent or legal guardian) has accepted these Terms pursuant to this Section 1.2.
Creative Monkey Games & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“CMGT”) will have primary responsibility for enforcing these Terms for all players participating in the Cricket Gangsta DEF League 2023 Tournament and may, working with the Event Administrators (as defined below), hand out penalties to players for violations of these Terms, as further described in Section 5.
CMGT may update, revise, change, or modify these Terms from time to time. For each player, their participation in the Event after any update, revision, change, or modification to these Terms will be deemed acceptance by such player (or, if a Minor, such player’s parent or legal guardian) of these Terms as updated, revised, changed, or modified.
The Country of residence of a player.
The environments the player will play in. The tournament may allow the player to play in all the environments available.
The tournament requires an entry fee in the form of in-game currency (“Coins”) or (“Gems”) to play.
Every match that is played by the player regardless of the result. The number of Matches a player can play in the tournament may or may not be limited in accordance with the tournament rules.
The highest runs the player scores regardless of the number of matches played will be shown as Highscores in the leaderboard.
A Player’s Rank determines the position of the player in the tournament leaderboard. The leaderboard lists all the participating player’s rankings from top to bottom based on the score of the players.
Any CMGT employee or member of the admin team, streaming team, production team, event staff, or anyone else otherwise employed or contracted to run the Event.
Winners are the Top 10 players in the leaderboard.
The tournament will be scheduled from 5th June 2023 to 24th June 2023 and will be informed to all the players that may participate. The tournament will be restricted by location and only UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be allowed to participate in the tournament event. The tournament duration will be clearly mentioned to the players.
The tournament will take place within a time frame. All the participating players will play in a randomised room and will score runs. Each time a player plays the player can play for a maximum of 60 balls. The runs they have scored will be their points in the leaderboard. The players with the highest score will top the leaderboard. The top players in the leaderboard will be awarded cash prizes after the validation of the players and their fair play. The validation may take up to 90 Days.
The highest runs the players score will be directly shown in the leaderboard. The players can score in 0,1,2,3,4 and 6.
Tiebreakers will be determined in the order presented here 1) the least number of balls faced; 2) the strike rate; 3) Number of sixes hit 4) Number of fours hit and finally leaderboard position as per the system.
Top ten players will be given cash prizes after validation. Cash prizes will be given to the Player after collecting relevant and necessary information needed for validation.

Only the highest-scoring players (as determined by CMGT pursuant to this Section 2.3.4) will be eligible to receive the cash prizes. Once the results are validated no other player with a score lower than the highest-scoring players shall be, at any time or under any circumstances, entitled to win any prizes in connection with the Tournament Event.
Highest scoring players will be notified as winners on the home screen in the Game and also in the winners section of the tournament leaderboard section in the Game. The highest scoring players will also be notified by the event administrator of their status as a winner at the email address provided while entering the tournament within 90 days of completion of the event or other such time as reasonably required by the event administrator for such notification and will be subject to validation of eligibility pursuant to Section 3 and compliance with these Terms.
Upon Notification in the Game or email, the potential winner shall have 2 days from the date the notification was shown in the Game or emailed to provide any information requested by the event administrator for the validation of eligibility. Such a response from a potential winner must be delivered in the Game when prompted or to the email address from which the notification was sent by the event administrator or by the event administrator’s sole option another email specified in the notification.
The Failure of a potential winner to timely respond to any such notification or request for information will result in such player's disqualification as a winner and such player shall not be entitled to win any prizes in connection with the Event. In such cases, no alternate winners (as defined below) shall be named and CMGT has the right to award the prizes for future events.
Winning players may also be required to provide their addresses and national Id for receiving their prizes and for the validation of eligibility. The event administrator will send a confirmation email after the prize is sent to the winners to which the winners (or, if a Minor, such Winning Player’s parent or legal guardian) have to respond and oblige that they have received the prize if they have received the prize.
Once the Winners have provided all the necessary details required for the distribution of the prizes, the Event Administrators will deliver the prizes within 90 days from the day the Event Adminstrators have all the necessary details of the winners.
If the prize is given to the player in kind, the market value of the item given is taken into consideration. The tax is, then, levied on the market value of the item. In the case where the amount of the prize is more than INR.10,000 TDS will be deducted from the prize before the prize is given to the winner. If the prize is a cash prize then it will be treated as prize money and the taxes will apply according to the player’s country’s legal rules on prize money taxes.
3.1.1 Any Minors should have their parent's or legal guardian's permission to participate in the event. Ineligible players who provide false information will be subject to disciplinary actions as described in Section 4.
3.1.2 If the winner of the Tournament is under 18 years of age or the age of majority as defined in their country of residence ("Minor"), their participation is subject to the consent and involvement of their parent or legal guardian.
3.1.3 The parent or legal guardian of a Minor winner must provide all necessary required information deemed necessary by the event administrator. This information may include, but is not limited to, proof of parental or legal guardian consent, identification documents, and contact information.
3.1.4 The parent or legal guardian of a Minor winner shall be responsible for ensuring the Minor's compliance with these Terms and any applicable laws or regulations.
3.1.5 The Event Organizer reserves the right to disqualify a Minor winner if the necessary information and consent from their parent or legal guardian are not provided within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by the Event Organizer.
3.1.6 By allowing a Minor to participate in the Tournament, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to assume all legal and financial responsibility for the Minor's participation and any consequences thereof.
3.1.7 The Event Organizer shall not be held liable for any failure by a parent or legal guardian to provide the required information or consent for a Minor's participation in the Tournament.
In the event of disqualification of a Minor winner due to the failure to provide necessary information or consent, the Event Organizer may, at its discretion, declare no alternate winners.
3.1.8 The Event Organizer strongly encourages parents or legal guardians to actively supervise and monitor the Minor's participation in the Tournament, including their online activities and interactions.
3.1.9 The Event Organizer reserves the right to request additional verification or documentation to ensure compliance with these Terms and the eligibility of Minor participants. By participating in the Tournament, the parent or legal guardian of a Minor winner acknowledges and agrees to these provisions regarding the participation of Minors.
Only a certain number of countries may be allowed to participate in the tournament event. If the player uses a VPN or any third-party app to bypass their country settings they will be disqualified during the validation period after the tournament has ended and in case if the player wins while using a VPN from a country that is not allowed to participate they shall not be entitled to win any prizes.
Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of CMGT and each person or entity connected with the production of the Game or administration of the Event, are not eligible.
Every participating player must follow the End User License Agreement for the Game
(https://creativemonkeygames.com/eula). These Terms add to and do not replace, the EULA.
All individual player names should follow the code of conduct in Section 4. The Event Administrators may change an individual player's name for any reason. The name used by a player may not include or make use of the terms Cricket Gangsta, CMGT, or any other trademark, trade name, or logo owned by or licensed to CMGT.
The Tournament event in all parts is open to eligible players from the countries that are allowed in the event (as determined by CMGT pursuant to Section 3), but is void wherever restricted or prohibited by law.
Each player should play to the best of their ability at all times during any
match. Any form of unfair play is prohibited by these Terms and may result in disciplinary action. Examples of unfair play include the following:
A player may not disclose any confidential information to any third party provided by the Event Administrators, CMGT, or its affiliates concerning Cricket Gangsta, by any method of communication, including by posting on social media channels.
Players are required to comply with all applicable laws at all times.
Players agree to fully cooperate with CMGT and/or an Event Administrator (as applicable) in the investigation of any violation of these Terms. If CMGT and/or an Event Administrator contacts a player to discuss the investigation, the player must be truthful in the information that they provide to CMGT and/or an Event Administrator. Any player found to have withheld, destroyed, or tampered with any related information, or otherwise found to have misled CMGT and/or an Event Administrator during an investigation, will be subject to disciplinary action as further
described in Section 5.2.
5.2.1 If CMGT decides that a player has violated the Code, CMGT may take the following actions or issue penalties (as applicable):
5.2.2 The nature and extent of the Penalties given or actions taken by CMGT pursuant to this Section 5.2 will be in the sole and absolute discretion of CMGT. CMGT reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from such players to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
5.2.3 If CMGT decides that there have been repeated breaches of these Terms or Conduct by a player, it may hand out an increasing Penalty, up to and including permanent disqualification from all future competitive play of Cricket Gangsta. CMGT may also enforce any applicable Terms specified in CMGT’s Terms and Conditions and/or EULA.
CMGT has final, binding authority to decide all disputes with respect to any portion of these Terms and Tournament Rules, including the breach, enforcement, or interpretation thereof.
Event administrators will be available to answer select questions regarding the tournament rules and event and will assist the players with any potential issues.
Once the tournament has ended and the winners are declared, The Event administrators will take up to 90 days to validate all the winner’s results. In case of any disqualification in violation of these terms and conditions during the post-tournament validation no alternative winners will be declared.
The Event administrators reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of the Tournament rules or engaging in any form of misconduct, as determined by the sole discretion of the Event Organizer. The Event Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any winner if, after being notified of their victory, the winner is found to have engaged in any form of misconduct or violated the Tournament rules, as determined by the sole discretion of the Event Organizer.
The Event administrators may contact the winners and conduct the validation for genuine play. During this validation if any winners are found to be in violation of the Tournament rules or engaging in any form of misconduct, as determined by the sole discretion of the Event Organizer then the Event administrators have the right to disqualify them. In such case no alternate winners will be declared.
After the validation the event administrator will contact the winners and notify them about the prize. If an eligible player for prizes is contacted and the player does not respond properly in a professional manner or refuses to give the relevant and necessary details then such player shall not be entitled to win any prize(s) in connection with the Event. In such cases, no alternate winners shall be named and CMGT has the right to award the prize(s) for future events.
The tournament event is subject to these conditions
1) Device malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; 2) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; 3) any losses or damages of any kind, caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Event; 4) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Event.; 5) CMGT may disqualify any player from participating in the Event or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that such player is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the tournament event by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices intending to gain an unfair advantage over any other players or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, undermine, or harass any other players or CMGT’s representatives.
Every participant’s email address is collected to notify the winners, Player’s country of residence will be collected to validate whether the player is from the allowed countries for the event and any other information that is required to deliver the prizes to the winners will be collected for the tournament event. The players will be notified via email about the details they need to provide for CMGT to legally give the cash prizes.
